Ryleigh’s 8th month!

WHAT RYLEIGH’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…

Sleeping: She goes to be around 7:30 each night, wake to nurse at 3:20am . She wakes for the day between 6:30 and 7am. After the 7 am nursing session she plays until about 9 when she has her breakfast, fruit and rice cereal. She usually takes a morning nap from 10-11am and then naps again around 1:30-3. She starts her nights out in the crib in our room, after being nursed to sleep. When she wakes up I bring her to our bed so I can keep sleeping but Daddy puts her back to bed when she’s finished nursing.

Eating: Ryleigh is still breastfeeding so well! She nurses about 6 times a day depending on how busy we are. She also eats fruit and veggie purée three times a day. She eats the Beech Nut organic foods. She also gets part of our meals each day. She loves Gerber Puffs in every flavor, the Lil Crunchers , Yogurt Melts and Cheerios too.

Diapers: Ryleigh is using Publix Size 2 diapers now and I buy 2 cases a month totaling $25 per month on diapers.

Other Random Stuff: She says Mama, Dada, Na Na and has said Bubba a few times for her brother. She crawls, pulls herself to standing, waves bye bye, and gives kisses.

Ryleigh’s 7th month

WHAT RYLEIGH’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…

Sleeping: She goes to be around 7:30-8 each night, wake to nurse at midnight, 5 and 7. After the 7 am nursing session she will sometimes go back to sleep but most often is up for the morning at this point. She usually takes a morning nap from 9:30-11 and then naps again around 1:30-3. She starts her nights out in the crib in our room, after being nursed to sleep. When she wakes up I bring her to our bed so I can keep sleeping but Daddy puts her back to bed when she’s finished nursing.

Eating: Ryleigh is still breastfeeding so well! She nurses about 6-8 times a day depending on how busy we are. She also eats fruit and veggie purée twice a day. She eats the Beech Nut organic foods. She also gets bits and pieces of my food sometimes too. She loves Gerber Puffs in every flavor and and the Lil Crunchers too.

Diapers: sadly our flips aren’t getting very much use, I really tried but washing 6 diapers everyday is just not feasible, it seems like such a wasted load. Ryleigh is using Publix diapers now and I buy 2 cases a month totaling $25 per month on diapers.

Other Random Stuff: She says Mama, Dada, Na Na and has said Bubba a few times for her brother. She sits completely unassisted and can cross the living room using Army crawl in a matter of seconds!

Walking for my Health!

Last Monday, 1 week ago, I decided to go for a walk pushing the baby in the stroller. It was about 9am, I had just gotten home from taking Sophie to school, the weather was beautiful and I walked around our entire neighborhood. It took me about 40 minutes but it was a nice walk and I came home sweaty and felt pretty good. Later that day, when I went to go pick up Sophie I decided to drive around our neighborhood and get an estimate on how far I had actually walked. Turns out I had walked 2.7 miles, roughly. I woke up Tuesday and decided to walk again, this happened on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as well. By Friday I was feeling great, coming home drenched in sweat but the walk was nice, the weather was beautiful and Ryleigh was enjoying the fresh air and falling asleep in the stroller about halfway through the walk. This weekend was busy but I found time to fit my walk in and enjoyed the fresh air each evening. This morning I got up and did it all over again, got dressed for my walk, took Sophie to school and then as soon as I got home loaded Ryleigh into her stroller and away we went. I’ve exercised plenty before but never just because I wanted too. This time I am doing it for me (and my family, but mostly for me!). I am enjoying the quiet time and the feeling I get from doing something for myself! I have decided that I am going to track my food and exercise on MyFitnessPal.com and see how that goes but I am excited and will keep updating here!
